Neil Schwam, CAIA

Mr. Neil Schwam is the owner and principal consultant of Renovaré Global LLC, a New York‐based consulting firm specializing in performing Risk and Operational Due Diligence analyses on alternative investment managers and fund vehicles for a clientele of institutional investors. The practice includes investment research and analysis on illiquid hedge funds and investment portfolios composed of illiquid hedge fund holdings.
 
He brings an extensive background in Risk and Operational Due Diligence in the alternative investment industry, having held senior positions with industry leading, Swiss‐based Fund of Hedge Funds. During his tenure with these organizations, he has been responsible for performing initial and on‐going Operational Due Diligence analyses on over 150 alternative investment managers, funds and investment platforms, trading all strategies and assets classes, managing assets between $100mm and $20bn+.

His experience includes advising Fund of Hedge Funds and Liquidators on $300mm+ of illiquid hedge fund investments, including hedge funds in Liquidation, Bankruptcy, and Side Pocket investments. This experience includes ongoing research and valuation, and participating in Investor Committees with Fund of Hedge Fund Investors focused on achieving improved terms and liquidation processes with investment managers of gated and suspended/liquidating hedge fund vehicles.

 

Earlier in his career, Neil worked within the Lauder organization in Business Development performing due diligence on East German/European broadcast and media entities during the acquisition process and integration onto a European operating platform.

 

Neil holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business. He is fluent in English, and is proficient in German and Spanish.
