Armand van Houten, CAIA

Founding member of the Board

Armand van Houten is a Dutch and Swiss citizen.

He started his financial career in 1999 and since has covered different  C-level executive management functions within the Asset Management and Banking industry.

He is a finance expert with hands-on experience covering COO, CRO and executive management functions at a $100 billion international Asset management division of a Swiss bank and a $5 billion Fund management company.

Broad experience acquired through different roles in the industry; Risk management and operational Due Diligence, investment research (hedge funds, PE and infrastructure), fund structuring, set up and liquidation, fund administration, custody, middle office & operations, liquidation of impaired and distressed assets.

He serves as an Independent Director of Companies.

Extensive understanding of the main Fund jurisdictions and structuring of dedicated solutions providing proactive control, oversight and structuring advice. Current mandates are in Switzerland, Malta and Ireland (approved by the Central Bank of Ireland).

He is a certified Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), and served as a Committee member for the CAIA Due Diligence and Regulation Committee, and the CAIA Curriculum Advisory Council. He holds an Investment Advisor Degree  from NIBE-SVV and completed a MEAO Degree in Business Administration. Business Economics and Logistics. 

 

Armand speaks Dutch, English, German and is proficient in Portuguese.
